A few months back I wrote an article about planning and running a successful event. The article discussed a lot of what I have learned over the years, good and bad. Whenever you think you know it all, reality comes up and takes a big bite out of your butt. Yesterday I learned something new, something that will affect any event I plan that has anything to do with charities.
As of this writing I have begun the initial stages of planning a small fitness event and it seems it may come to an end before it begins.
The entire games open has been one big eye opener after another for me. First with 12.1 and the Burpees, then 12.2’s Snatches and of course 12.3’s combination of Box Jumps, Push Presses and Toes to Bar.
So I did the 1'st Games Open WOD and of course about killed myself with a whopping 65, but hey it's a great number for me. Right after posting, I checked out some of the other athlete's videos and found this video of Shokhin Danila. It's him doing an amazing 161 Burpees.
