Week eight of the Paleo Diet another two lbs lost this last week and the results are showing, I’m now at 226 lbs.

  • Font size: Larger Smaller

I continue to drop the lbs and have just begun week eight. I’m only two lbs away from a whopping 30lbs lost, which I’m hoping I’ll reach by the end of the week! My clothes are beginning to look a little ridiculous at this point, especially my pants. The only reason I haven’t bought new pants is because my stubborn gut is the last thing to go and the old pants just don’t fit yet.

I guess since my gut held the most amount of fat, it’s gonna be the last thing to go. I’m hoping to drop down at least one full waist size by the end of my challenge. That would put me at a 36 in waist, which I haven’t seen in years. No worries though because by my estimates I still have close to seven weeks left to lose the belly.

The diet has become commonplace in our home. We eat really healthy most days and if we do cheat it’s a meal on the weekend. Other than that our meals consist of numerous great recipes we’ve found all over the Internet. Some of our favorite places or should I say my wife’s favorite websites to get recipes are. They are in no particular order of preference.

Other news

Gary found a pretty cool place right off the 710 in LA that sells tons of CrossFit equipment. From the looks of things their equipment looks pretty nice and they have rock bottom prices. Gary showed me a new color plate that he purchased and it seemed well made. It only cost him around $1.20 a lb., which in my opinion is dirt-cheap. Anyway he says they have alot of other equipment in their large warehouse including a bunch of rack systems, plus they can custom build anything you want. I plan on making a trip soon to check them out; heck I might even pick up a new rack instead of building my own.

I also began designing my backyard with the gym in mind. My plan is to include an area to do box jumps on the new 30” tire, a pull up station and a length of concrete for tire flips. Of course this all depends if I have the money to do all I want to do. The area will be accessed through a door, which we still need to install, right off the existing gym. One other pipe dream is the addition of a hot tub or swim spa, but that is just a dream and realistically nowhere on the horizon.

See you in the hills.
