CrossFit for Hope Charity event Tehachapi California


This past week for me has been a reminder that CrossFit is about more than Elite Fitness. At its core, it helps regular people live better lives and through those people it also helps those who can’t help themselves. Through numerous charity events held year round by CrossFit Affiliates all over the world, fitness has become the New Ambassador for Hope.

Flexibility for Front and Overhead Squats


Front and OH squats were a huge sticking point for me for the longest time. I just couldn’t do them. At first I blamed my inability to perform either on arm or back size. Then after watching videos of athletes who were much larger and more muscular accomplishing the same lifts, my theories were proven wrong.

A few months back I changed my workout schedule on the advice of a trainer. I wasn’t progressing on several WOD’s so I felt I needed a change. He suggested that my lack of progress was due to over training. At the time I was working out six days a week and was feeling horrible.

Some muscle up how to videos I found on YouTube

When working on Muscle Up's I scoured YouTube. What I found was that most of the videos had a slightly different approach when teaching them. I liked the first one in the list the best, but that's just my opinion. Use what worked best for me, might not work for you. Please share more if you got them, this is by no means an all inclusive list. On a side note, if you have the spare change become a member of the CrossFit Journal, they have a bunch of great videos for subscribers only.
